DONATE TO PLEASANTVILLE PRIDE
We're raising funds to make this year’s event the best it can be—and every contribution, no matter the size, helps bring us closer to a vibrant, inclusive celebration for all. Your support matters—be part of the Pride movement and help make a difference!
We wish to clarify the fund raising in connection with Pleasantville Pride’s efforts to secure donations for the upcoming Pleasantville Pride family-friendly block party to be held at the parking lot of Emanuel Lutheran Church.
While the organizing team is exploring the creation of a 501(c)3 nonprofit entity specifically dedicated to Pleasantville Pride, thus ensuring the continued support and development of the event for years to come, due to time constraints and the need for expedient action, Pleasantville Pride will not be established as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization before the event. As such, the funds raised for this event will be accounted for by Emanuel Lutheran Church using a fund set up and dedicated solely for Pleasantville Pride. Use and dispersement of funds will be directed by the Pleasantville Pride committee, subject to compliance with Emanuel Lutheran Church policies and procedures for building and facility users outside organizations.
We affirm that donations will be solely allocated to support the organization, execution, and promotion of Pleasantville Pride to be held at the Emanuel Church parking lot, with the intent of providing the best possible experience for attendees. Any funds remaining after the conclusion of the event will go to the Pleasantville Pride nonprofit entity when in place, or to an LGBTQ+ charity. This decision will be made by the organization’s committee at its discretion. No funds will be retained by the church.
All recordable donations will receive a thank you letter from Pleasantville Pride along with a tax exemption receipt from Emanuel Lutheran Church. Please be sure to include your address information. The letter will be sent within four weeks after the event. If you do not receive it, please reach out to us at pridepleasantville@gmail.com.
Whether it's your first visit to the church property or you've been here many times, we want to make sure you feel confident navigating this event.
Arrival & Parking
The event will take place outdoors in the church parking lot, so all parking will be on the street. Please take this into account when planning your arrival. If you are able, we encourage walking to the event. Guests will be welcomed through a balloon arch at the base of the driveway. There will be no access through the church building for general entry. Please note: there is a short incline leading up to the parking lot. For anyone who might benefit from mobility assistance, we recommend being dropped off at the balloon arch while another person handles parking.
Restrooms
Portable restrooms will be available on-site. In addition, there is one accessible restroom available inside the church. This bathroom is wheelchair accessible and spacious enough for family use. Signage will guide you to its location.
Seating
Limited seating will be available in our outdoor dining area. Seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Most areas of the event should be accessible to individuals with mobility concerns. If you require any assistance during the event, please ask a volunteer in a baby blue staff t-shirt for help. If you would like to discuss accessibility accommodations prior to the event please email pridepleasantville@gmail.com with any questions or concerns and we will do our best to make arrangements.
